With Halloween fast approaching, we wanted to help you get your little ones ready for the festivities with a Halloween competition!

During the month of October, we will be running a Halloween competition on Instagram for your chance to win a pair of our kids dungarees.  

For your chance to win, simply tag us in your Halloween costumes using a pair of our Dottys! This could be any of our dungarees, dresses or shorts from any year. You can even use one of our tops or t-shirts to create your Halloween outfit. 

We are looking for any Halloween-themed photos or videos whether they be scary or cute! Think pumpkin patch pics, spooky days out, and trick-or-treat outfits. The only rule is to use a piece of Dotty Dungarees clothing whether that be a full Dotty outfit or just one of our tops. You can even submit your own costume using our adult dungarees!

Halloween Competition Details

Our Halloween competition will run from early October until 7th November to give you enough time to submit any post-Halloween photos. 

You can submit a photo or video, simply tag us in your post on Instagram @dottydungarees. If you do not want to post on your account, simply send us your photo/video via Instagram message.

If you don’t have an Instagram account, send your submission to hello@dottydungarees.com with the subject line, “Halloween Competition”.

Tips and Tricks

To help get you started we have put together a blog post of our Dungaree Halloween Costumes for Kids. Hopefully this will help to inspire your creations! 

We usually recommend taking photos outdoors in natural light as these usually come out better. Capturing photos at sunrise or sunset can create beautiful natural light.

On our photoshoots, we find that giving children props or going to an area where there are interesting things to explore can really help to create natural and playful photography and videos.

Look out for local pumpkin patches, a great place to create natural movement and expressions in children’s photography. Also there are lots of fun props for your little ones to play with!

Another tip from one of our photographers, Gemma Mount, is to take lots of photographs to ensure you get the best one. “If your little one is seemingly getting bored, change location. Some different areas lend better for the photograph you want to take.”

Of course, if they are tired or bored, take a break and do something fun. Sometimes the best photographs happen when your little ones are simply having fun and enjoying themselves.

We find the most natural photography happens when we allow our children to just be themselves which works best when they feel relaxed and happy.

Open to UK residents only.

One winner will be selected by Dotty Dungarees and will win the prize of a pair of Dotty Dungarees kids classic needlepoint cord dungarees or dress of the winner’s choosing (subject to stock availability).

This Halloween competition ends at 23:59 on 07/11/24 and the winner will be contacted by Dotty Dungarees via Instagram message or email (depending on how the winner submitted their entry). The winner must respond to the message/email within 2 working days otherwise a new winner will be selected.
