We couldn’t resist pulling together our favourite colourful outfits for kids this June to celebrate the return of our Rainbow Denim dungarees and shorts. Whether you prefer understated cool, or bold, bright colours, we have everything you need for a colourful Summer!

Made for the beach, road trips, or a fun day out with the family, these colourful outfits will bring some sunshine even on the rainiest of days. British Summer, whatever you may be, we are ready for you! 

Here are our favourite colourful outfits for kids:

Rainbow Denim Dungarees

Flying off the shelves and brand new to Dotty Dungarees this season, the popularity of our Rainbow Denim Dungarees surprised even us, and we know how much you love colour!

So after a quick team catch up, we have secured a second order of these beauties which are now available to buy online. Check out our New In page to ensure you get your little one’s size before they sell out again. We don’t think they will hang around for long!

Our Rainbow Denim Dungarees have a similar fit to the dungarees in our Faded Denim collection so we would suggest sizing up to ensure your little ones stay comfy and cosy all year.

We love our Rainbow Denim Dungarees as they are super versatile and comfortable, being made of breathable cotton. Perfect for road trips, family days out, or dress these up for a smart evening outfit, ideal for relaxed holiday dining. In fact we would recommend these as a great airplane outfit, perfect when transitioning from airport to plane, to hotel. 

As with all our full-length dungarees, our smallest sizes (6-12m, 12-18m, 18-24m) have a zip fastening to help with quick nappy changes. Our founders Alice and Georgie have thought of everything!

Rainbow Denim Shorts

Calling all your little ones who live in shorts! We couldn’t compile our favourite colourful outfits without including our Rainbow Denim Dungaree Shorts, perfect for Summer daydreaming.

Equally as adorable, our Rainbow Denim Shorts are classic and colourful. With sweet colourful stripes in every shade of the rainbow, our Rainbow Shorts are ideal for Summer adventures.

As with all Dottys, they also feature adjustable straps to better fit your little one as they grow bigger.  

Purple Tonal Shorts

Featuring colour blocks of different shades of violet these dungaree shorts are perfect for all your mini purple lovers. Suitable for both girls and boys, yes we think boys rock this look too! Our Purple Tonal Shorts are one of our favourite colourful outfits this June.

Did we mention, these are super lightweight, and comfortable too! Making them ideal for beach adventures. Sand can be brushed off easily, and the lightweight cotton will dry quickly if your little one gets a bit too close to a wave, we’ve all been there!

These colourful shorts also have adjustable straps to fit your little one better. You can easily add a cosy jumper underneath on breezy days, or style with just a t-shirt on warm days. Try one of our Jack Tees to complete this colourful look.

If you love colourful outfits, these dungaree shorts are for you! Made using the offcuts from our other bold designs, our Primary Colourblock Shorts have been flying off the shelves!

This is the ultimate colourful outfit this Summer. Simply pair with one of our bright Jack Tees to finish this colourful look. Our Red or Yellow Jack Tee matches perfectly with the colourblock design if you like to co-ordinate. For those who prefer to go bold, we would recommend teaming with a colourful t-shirt like @twelvemonthsapart to create a super fun outfit.

Pastel Colourblock Dungarees and Shorts

Looking for something more understated but equally colourful? Our range of Pastel Colourblock Dungarees and Shorts are perfect for that sweet sorbet look!

Again, these are made from the offcuts from our classic designs so you can be sure you are doing good for the planet as well as choosing the cutest outfit this Summer.

Go full-on pastel by pairing with our Pink or Lilac Jack Tee. These could be glammed up for relaxed eveningwear by wearing our Edie Frill Top or Maxi White Top underneath.

Floral Patchwork Shorts

We couldn’t complete our favourite colourful outfits without including something more classic and pretty, and our Floral Patchwork Shorts are just that!

Made from the offcuts from our Floral collection of dungaree shorts, our Patchwork Floral Shorts are stylish in pastel colours mint, pink, and lilac, giving sweet, summery vibes.

We like to pair these colourful shorts with our Peter Pan Collar in white for a glamorous outfit. For any floral enthusiasts, you could team these floral shorts with one of our Floral Peter Pan Collars, choose from Pink or Lilac.

Yellow Checkerboard Jumpsuit

One of our faves this year, our Yellow Checkerboard Jumpsuit is not for the faint-hearted! In a bright sunshine yellow, this Checkerboard Jumpsuit is fun, bold, and super comfy.

Made from the softest jersey cotton, and with an elasticated chest and adjustable spaghetti straps, our jumpsuit is made for comfort and ease.

We couldn’t complete our list of best colourful outfits without including a Dotty classic! These shorts flew off the shelves the moment we introduced them to the Dotty fam last year, and continue to be one of our bestsellers.
