Toddler dungarees: your questions answered
What sizes are your toddler dungarees?
Our toddler sizes are 12–18m, 18–24m, 2–3y and 3–4y. As a rough guide, 12–18m fits around 84cm, 18–24m around 90cm and 2–3y around 98cm in height. See our Size Guide for full measurements.
Do they come up big or small?
Our clothes are on the bigger side, with generous unisex cuts. If your toddler is small for their age, we recommend sizing down. Adjustable straps let you fine-tune the fit.
How long will a pair last my toddler?
Toddlers grow fast, so our dungarees are designed to grow with them. Adjustable straps and generous turn-ups can be let down as they shoot up (our chunky cords have double fasteners), so they're not outgrown in a month. They're made to be worn, loved and passed down.
Is there a zip for nappy changes?
Yes, sizes up to 18–24m have a hidden zip between the legs for quick nappy changes without taking the dungarees off. From 2–3y the zip isn't included, which makes them ideal for potty training.
Which fabric is best for a toddler?
Corduroy and chunky cord are cosy and hard-wearing for autumn and winter, mostly cotton with a touch of elastane for stretch. Our denim (99.8% cotton, 0.2% elastane) is a durable all-rounder for nursery and play. Every pair is lined in 100% cotton jersey, so they're soft inside too.
Do you make dungaree dresses for toddlers?
Yes. Our dungaree dresses come in toddler sizes and include matching jersey knickers up to 2–3y, so they're fuss-free for climbing and twirling.
What should my toddler wear underneath?
A tee in warmer months, or a long-sleeve top with tights or thermals when it's cold. Our Peter Pan and Breton tops are designed to match.
How do I wash them?
All Dotty Dungarees clothes are machine washable up to 30 degrees.
What if a buckle breaks?
Every buckle has a lifetime warranty. If one ever breaks, email hello@dottydungarees.com and we'll send a free replacement.
What about delivery and returns?
UK Royal Mail Standard Delivery takes 2–3 business days and costs £4.99, and it's free on orders of £50 and over. Unworn, unwashed items with tags attached can be returned within 14 days of receipt.
