There’s nothing we love more at Dotty HQ than fun adventures exploring in our Dottys. To celebrate the upcoming Easter holidays, we have pulled together our favourite Easter activities for kids, and big kids too!
 
Here are our all-time favourite Easter activities for kids this April:

1. National Trust Easter Egg Hunt Trails
 
Across the UK, National Trust properties will be holding Easter Egg Hunt Trails for as little as £3 per person. Check out each individual property for full details on what their Easter Egg Hunt includes but here is a taster!
 
Polesden Lacey, Surrey - dress up as your favourite animal and explore the grounds
Rainham Hall, London - reminisce old school days by taking part in an egg and spoon race
Castle Ward, County Down - Easter crafts and puppetry, as well as a trip to the chocolate forest barn to discover how your Easter eggs are made
 
Before each trail, you will be equipped with a trail sheet, pencil, and bunny ears of course! You will also receive a chocolate egg of your choice, including vegan and ‘free-from’ options.

2. Easter at Longleat - Alice in Wonderland Easter Eggstravaganza

Included in the price of your day ticket, Longleat have created an enchanted Alice in Wonderland world to explore between 1st - 16th April.
 
For an action and adventure-packed day, the Alice in Wonderland event includes a fun game of mini golf, origami rose crafts with the Queen of Hearts, an unbirthday celebration with the Mad Hatter himself, and entertainment from Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. Not to mention all of the usual animal fun at Longleat Park itself.
 
There is also a more advanced Easter Egg Hunt which includes riddles to solve for those who enjoy a good brain workout!

3. Piglets Adventure Farm, York

There are lots of fun Easter activities for kids to do at Piglets Adventure Farm in North Yorkshire, as part of their Easter Egg-Stravaganza from 1st - 16th April.
 
Firstly they have a daily Great Easter Egg Hunt with special prizes, and a new over 6’s challenge. As well as Lambing Live, with 20 expectant mothers, there is sure to be plenty of newborn lambs over the holidays! For courageous little adventurers, they also have bottle feeding for baby lambs.

Over the Easter weekend, there will be a panto show starring Little Bo Peep with plenty of audience interaction, fun for all the family! If your little ones prefer a bit of magic, the Magic Hatter will be returning for an unforgettable magic show over the Easter weekend.

4. Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt, London

Back by popular demand, the Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt returns to Hampton Court Palace in London. For any mini historians and explorers, this Easter hunt tells the stories of the fascinating people who lived and worked at Hampton Court Palace.
 
Kids are free to run around the 60-acre gardens of Henry VIII to find the gold bunny statues carefully hidden. Perfect to tire out even the most active little ones.
 
There will also be live performances and interactions with surprise guests, and we have been assured absolutely no dancing or dance competitions!
 
Definitely some fun Easter activities for kids this holiday.

5. Easter Stage Show at Cadbury World, Birmingham

For rainy day Easter activities for kids this holiday, why not go to the home of chocolate, Cadbury World in Birmingham!
 
Over the bank holiday Easter weekend, Mr Cadbury’s Parrot will be taking centre stage in his swashbuckling adventure to find the illustrious golden egg.
 
The Easter bunny will also be arriving at Cadbury World over the Easter weekend to host an Easter egg hunt for all the family with a special prize at the end. For creative little ones (and big ones!), children are encouraged to wear their very own homemade Easter bonnets! With a chance to perform in an Easter parade over the holiday weekend.
 
Ticket prices also include a tour of the chocolate factory with tasting samples of course!

6. Paultons Park, New Forest

Paultons Park, the home of Peppa Pig, welcomes Bobtail and Betty Bunny this Easter (1st - 16th April) to meet and greet your little ones. The theme park will be seasonally decorated with fluffy bunnies and giant Easter eggs for your little ones to explore.
 
With loads of park rides to choose from, Paultons Park offers plenty of fun Easter activities for kids over the holidays. They also have a host of animal adventures including penguin feeding and Beastie Burrow to discover the lives of tiny insects.

7. York Food Festival

For those in the North of England, York has a whole host of fun Easter activities for kids as part of their Food Festival. Celebrating all things chocolatey, they have a 5-day program for chocolate lovers!
 
Starting on 5th April - 9th April, choose from taste trails, chocolate bunny and lollipop making, chocolate tastings, and even a chocolate festival bar! Some events are free, while others start at £5 up to £55 for an Easter egg masterclass for budding chocolatiers.

8. Easter at Beaulieu

The fun Easter activities for kids starts on 1st April until 16th April in the small village of Beaulieu, nestled in the picturesque New Forest.
 
Try on Easter bonnets at Palace House, and experience the real Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from the classic children’s film. There will also be a larger-than-life Easter bunny over the Easter weekend and fun Easter crafts for your little ones to take part in.
 
After exploring the quiet village of Beaulieu, head down to the coastal town of Lymington where you will find our little Dotty shop on Lymington High Street! We are just next door to The Cornish Bakery, who do amazing coffee and pasties. The rhubarb and custard sweet pasty is particularly good!

9. Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire

There is a whole host of Easter activities for kids at Blenheim Palace over the Easter holidays! Easter Eggstravaganza which starts on Friday 7th April and runs over the Easter weekend includes lots of different activities including circus skills, balloon modelling, bubble performances, and even chocolate-making masterclasses in partnership with Hotel Chocolat.
 
Day tickets include circus workshops, an egg trail, dress up tent, mini golf and games, meet the Easter bunny, bubble performance, and travelling show.
 
Hotel Chocolat workshops will give little ones the chance to create their own tasty treats. Giving them the chance to learn about the history of chocolate and personalise their very own Easter gifts. There will also be a range of yummy chocolate treats throughout the day!

10. Cadbury Worldwide Hide

For anyone looking for fun Easter activities for kids closer to home, the Cadbury Worldwide Hide is the perfect idea!
 
Cadbury are giving people the chance to hide their very own Easter egg anywhere in the world for a friend to find. Simply go online and choose a place on the map to hide your egg. Then come up with a clue that will help your friend find their egg. For example, “Remember where we made that epic den when we were six!”. Your clue will be sent to your friend to find their egg.
 
If you prefer to create your own Easter egg hunt at home, Cadbury even have an Easter Egg Hunt Pack. It includes ten Cadbury chocolate eggs for you to hide at home, and a pack of Mini Eggs to enjoy while your little ones find your hidden eggs!
